How long does the course last?

How is the course structured? 

The course consists of five exercise cycles, each with a different thematic focus. For example:

How do I know that the exercises are suitable for me?

The program begins with an evaluation of your state of health and your specific breathing problems.
During the course, there will also be repeated tasks and tests that you can use to assess your current state of health and track your improvements.
We offer you the various exercises with different levels of difficulty and
also show you how to vary the intensity and speed of the exercises as required. 
Always remember: if you feel unwell, you should stop the exercises and talk to a doctor.

The MyBreo training program is a complementary therapeutic measure.
If you have been diagnosed with a chronic lung disease or have symptoms, regular visits to a specialist are essential.
In any case, talk to your doctor about the program and your possible participation in it.

Stutz & Schreiber: The therapeutic efficacy of Western breathing therapy methods: A systematic review (2017)

"23 studies on the methods according to Middendorf, Richter, Dürckheim/Graubner, Papworth, van Dixhoorn and Buteyko as well as 1 review on the Buteyko method

were qualitatively evaluated and compared with each other in tabular form. A variety of mainly somatic, but also psychological parameters of the studies were examined. There was clear evidence of efficacy, particularly in relation to asthma, back pain, cardiac dysfunction and pain, but also in relation to various psychological parameters, especially anxiety. 

Respiratory therapy interventions are safe. As previous studies have shown, no side effects are generally to be expected if a qualified diagnosis is made and a competent approach is taken. There are indications that breathing therapy methods can have a direct psychotherapeutic effect."

"Individuals with moderate to severe asthma often have more symptoms and difficulty achieving adequate clinical control, which is associated with poor quality of life, despite proper pharmacological treatment. Physical training has been proposed as an adjunctive therapy for asthma. Initially, it was suggested that the effect of physical training might be attributed to the improved oxidative capacity and reduced production of exercise metabolites. However, in the last decade, there has been evidence that aerobic physical training promotes anti-inflammatory effects in asthma patients. Physical training improves BHR and EIB, asthma symptoms, clinical control, anxiety, and depression levels, sleep quality, lung function, exercise capacity, and dyspnea perception. Furthermore, physical training reduces medication consumption. The most commonly used exercise strategies are moderate aerobic and breathing exercises; however, other techniques, such as high-intensity interval training, have shown promising effects."

"Objectives: Breathing exercises are used by some asthmatic patients, yet are often difficult to perform and time-consuming. This study evaluated a simple, modified breathing exercise program regarding ease to perform and effectiveness as an adjunctive therapy.
[...]
Conclusion: A simple program of breathing exercises was found to be effective and could be completed in less than 10 minutes per day. Furthermore, there was a statistically significant improvement in ACT scores post-exercise."
